Who the A Gentle Guide scene suits
In Nahua accounts a dog accompanies souls on the journey to Mictlán, and the xoloitzcuintle is closely tied to that image. This scene suits families who know that story and want a calm companion beside their own pet. The guide is always a separate dark xolo, never a change to your pet.
The setting
A broad real stone path with cempasuchil flowers on both edges, soft teal dusk and distant mountains. One calm dark charcoal adult xoloitzcuintle stands a few steps behind and to the right of the referenced pet; it is clearly a different animal, with a hairless body and upright ears.
The moment you will see
The referenced pet takes three slow steps toward the camera. The one xoloitzcuintle guide follows behind at a respectful distance and then stops. The referenced pet turns its eyes toward the warm light ahead. Keep the two animals distinct with no crossing or identity exchange.
Choosing a photo for A Gentle Guide
Because two animals share the frame, a clear and well-lit photo of your pet matters more here than in any other scene. Distinctive markings, ear shape and coat colour help keep your companion recognisable next to the hairless guide. This is fictional AI imagery, so watch the free preview before choosing a pack.

Day of the Dead pet AI questions
What is a Day of the Dead pet video?
Day of the Dead Pet turns one photo of your dog or cat into a 10-second AI video of them coming home along a path of marigolds — a gentle keepsake for October 27 and Día de Muertos. You can watch a free watermarked preview without signing up.
When is Day of the Dead for pets?
Many families in Mexico remember their pets on October 27, a few days before Día de Muertos on November 1 and 2. It is a recent, widely shared custom rather than an ancient rule, and many people simply include pets in their family ofrenda.
How do I make a Day of the Dead video of my pet?
Upload one clear photo of your dog or cat, choose a scene and make a free watermarked preview. If it feels like them, choose a one-time pack and the full 10-second video is delivered privately by email.
Is it free?
The preview is free and needs no email or account; it is watermarked and limited to one attempt per device or network every 24 hours. The full video costs $9.90, or $4.98 per video in the six-video pack. There is no subscription.
How long is the video and what format is it?
Each video is 10 seconds, vertical 9:16 at 720p, delivered as an MP4. A one-second branded ending is on by default and can be switched off before you download, without generating again.
Does it work for cats as well as dogs?
Yes. Every scene has a dog and a cat example. Use a photo with one animal only, with the face, ears and markings visible. Remembrance scenes use pet photos only; Heaven Hug has separate rules for the adult uploader.
More questions (4)
Is this a real video of my pet?
No. It is a new AI creation based on your photo. Likeness and movement can vary. It is not a real recording or a claim about an afterlife.
What happens to my photo?
Your photo stays private and is deleted after seven days. Free preview access expires within 24 hours. We never use customer photos as public examples.
Does the paid video have a watermark?
No preview watermark. A one-second branded ending is on by default, and you can switch it off above the download button without generating again.
What if it does not look right?
Each purchased video includes one free re-creation. Confirmed technical failures restore the video separately. Always review the free preview before paying.
